We Love More Than We Fear

GOVERNMENT GOES TO THOSE WHO SHOW UP

Friends,

Early voting turnout is awesome!  And I am still working hard every day for your vote.

We have a real chance to move the needle of Texas politics toward the workable middle. While the fringe voices on both sides demonize each other, I ask East Texas to take a deep breath and share the vision of an independent voice in Austin.

So, let's keep it positive. Let's show our East Texas pride. Republicans, Democrats, and Independents - let us come together to strengthen our voice for public schools, support for our business community, focus on mental health and healthcare, keep an eye on low taxes, and above all, let's Build a Better Texas together.

For those who had the misfortune of seeing the upsetting social media post by my opponent yesterday, and the gross display of behavior by his supporters, you know that this is what career politicians do when they feel threatened. (His supporters suggested my politics would make Hitler proud.)

They make up stuff and they bait their supporters with baseless rhetoric. They promote fear and division in hopes of engaging baser emotions.

That is why I am so proud of our campaign for doing the exact opposite. From campaign mailers to social media, from community conversations to volunteers, our messaging has always been positive and strong.

East Texas is tired of empty suits going to Austin
waging culture wars without any effective representation. As I said 12 months ago, and I say again: We can do better. Because we are better.

I know this because I have been part of this community for 16 years. And I know that at our best, we love more than we fear.

I hope you have had a chance to go out and early vote, or that you have made plans to vote on November 6th. If you vote person-by-person on the ballot, I hope I earn your vote. If you straight ticket Republican or Democrat, I asked you to do the East Texas Two Step. The information on early voting and the Two Step is below.

I ask you to continue making contributions to the campaign so we can finish strong.

To peace,
Neal
