FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH – Sep 20 Campaign Update

Thank you to so many friends and supporters who offered condolences to me on the recent death of my father.

Friends and Neighbors,

Thank you to so many friends and supporters who offered condolences to me on the recent death of my father. He passed away last week at the age of 72 in Virginia Beach, VA after an extended illness.

After enlisting in the Navy and serving two tours in Vietnam, my father got out of the military and became a salesman in men's clothing and then jewelry. He opened his own jewelry store and that was his passion for nearly the last half-century.

I was fortunate to grow up around a small business owner who imparted to me the values of professionalism, self-reliance, and community involvement. Because of my father, I have always admired business owners who have the fortitude to weather the storms of business. When times are great, everyone looks like a genius. But when times are tough, you have to know how to keep moving forward. It takes a special heart to be successful in that world.

I thank my father for teaching me love of country, love of community, a profound respect for the business community, and for exemplifying good business ethics. On behalf of my entire family, I thank you all for your condolences. May his memory be for a blessing.

CAMPAIGN STRENGTH

Our campaign is moving strong in to late September with continued energy from the community. Many of you have you seen yard signs popping up all over town. People have been making donations to the campaign, friends have gone out block walking, volunteers have written postcards letters, and so much more.

I maybe an independent candidate, but our campaign is people-powered.

Let's keep this going. If you would like to be part of this volunteer effort – even if you can only offer one evening – we welcome your support. If you want to volunteer - or want a yard sign - please click here to let us know.

I hope to see you at these upcoming events:
